We’ve designed these pants to be 100% compatible with body armour inserts for the knees and hips (sold separately). NEED ARMOUR? CLICK HERE.

STAY COMFORTABLE
Featuring multiple stretch panels, you’ll be unrestricted when getting on/off the bike, and you’ll have ultimate mobility when the trail gets ‘technical’.

Riding in cold weather? Underneath the tough outer shell, you’ll find a removable Thermoline® thermal liner that will keep your legs nice and warm.

Hot weather? Zip-out that thermal lining and crack open the new SmartVentTM System to allow air to circulate, keeping you cooler.

Velcro waistband tabs ensure a perfect snug fit, and with a total of 6 pockets (including a ‘hidden’ zipper pocket inside the leg vent), you’ll have plenty of room to stash all your valuables on your next ride.

STAY DRY
Built for the worst conditions – Fully seam sealed + our new Humax® membrane features a huge 14k Waterproof + 19k Breathability rating, resulting in the ultimate protection against rain, wind and snow. (14,348 mmH2O + 19,241 g/m2/24 h)

ARE YOU USING THESE WITH MX BOOTS?

If you are planning to wear these pants over the top of your motocross boots, please get in touch with us before ordering. We will double check to make sure that they will fit over your boots.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I GET?

The Alpha Motorcycle Pants have zero stretch in the waistband, so you’ll need to take this into account when ordering your size. Please email us if you're unsure what this means!

We recommend following these steps to ensure the perfect fit:

  • Grab a pair of pants you already own (preferably a pair with zero stretch), and that fit you well.
  • Lay them flat, making sure the zipper and button are done up and the waistband is perfectly aligned (see photo below)
  • Measure the waist as shown and write down your measurement

How to measure jeans

Now compare your measurement to the table below.

If you’re in-between sizes, or if you're unsure of your size, please EMAIL US at support@akinmoto.com, especially if you are an international customer. We are here to help and will do whatever we can to make sure you order the right size.

Best all weather pants!

Wore these in a massive storm and the only water to get through was from my shirt wicking it past the pants, these were super impressive and dont look like your average out there water proof pants, they look great, were very comfortable and just felt like a great everyday/adventure capable pant. I will definitely be replacing my adventure pants now on.

Cheers Tristan! Thanks for taking the time to review and we're stoked to hear everything you love about the pants!

Gear for every envrionment.

A Well Traveled Riders Expirence of the Alpha Gear

I have ridden in several different countries on terrains that range from crown range switchbacks to borderline romaniacs off-road. Much of this riding has been done in several different sets of gear over the years ranging from Dainese to Revit and Alpinestar. I usually have to carry a couple of sets of gear on longer trips.

I recently purchased the Akin Moto Alpha full set of riding gear to put it to the test. Pants, Gloves, and Jacket. I wanted locally made high quality gear that didnt come with the outrageous pricetag of some globally recognised brands. *Cough Dainese*

To put this gear through its paces It was the only gear I took with me for a month-long trip in the Himalayas. The testing began before I was even able to wear it. Packing my bags was going to be a challenge as I only had 60 litres to play with to carry camera gear, motocross boots, helmet, riding gear, and enough clothes to get me through a week. The Alpha riding gear surprisingly packed down really well, which is nontypical for jackets like this. I managed to make it all fit, and had room for a few souvenirs to bring back. Now for the actual testing. India is a peculiar country because it can expose you to every weather extreme you can think of. I can confidently say that the Alpha 4.0 gear did everything I needed it to and more. I was able to wear the jacket and pants with liners out in 40-degree-plus New Delhi weather to keep the sun off, it kept me relatively dry in absolute torrential downpours(river running down the middle of the road kinda stuff), and it kept me warm with the liners in when I had to ride the Kardunga Pass at 19,000 feet at night, while it was snowing. (I would not recommend trying this it is apparently just stupidly dangerous.)

The purpose of Adventure Gear is not to be riding gear alone, it's supposed to be riding gear that equips you with the widest range of protection from both the elements and falls. The alpha gear did this extremely well (yes i had a little tumble or 2 while wearing it).

The Boys at akin have thought this gear out well and have equipped the jacket, pants, and gloves with features that are useful to real riders. Well done. And thank you to your gear for getting me through an environment that surely would have killed me had I not had it. 5 Stars

Tristan, thank you for sharing and what an absolute epic saga!!! We're ecstatic to hear how well the Alpha Gear performed over all those conditions (and more than a fair bit jealous about the ride too!). Cheers for putting our gear to the test and for supporting us, we thoroughly appreciate it!

Superior

Bottom line: Incredible quality, well engineered features, fine attention to detail, phenomenal customer service, and supporting an Aussie business! Would recommend!

I’ve had this jacket and the alpha pants for just under a week and have ridden with it on cold mornings and some foul weather.

On first impressions the quality stood out. The seams, stitching and zippers were crisp and felt well made.

On cold wet mornings, the pants even without the liner are nice and warm and kept me dry. The liner is great feature that I’ll be sure use on longer rides.

The cuffs tuck comfortably under my face boots and the zip up cuffs are great for over boot wearing also.

Thanks for the review and so glad to hear that the Alpha Pants are going well in the elements!

Great stuff! Would be 4.5 stars if that were possible

Bought these a couple of months ago and I'm a fan!

I ride a fair distance to work every day Monday-Friday no matter the weather and was looking for some waterproof pants for the wetter days, which turned out to be no easy task. I'm pretty minimalistic style-wise and was put off by most rain gear which I always found too gaudy or plastic-looking.

After a bit of searching, I came across Akin and the Alpha Pants. I bought a pair from a local stockist and absolutely do not regret the purchase. An absolute winter essential for me!

I'm really into the more understated look of these. I normally avoid clothing with logos but the logo on one leg of these is so subtle that you barely notice it unless you're looking for it. Perfect for me in terms of style.

I've now worn these during some heavy rain and I can say confidently they're a tough and durable set of gear that protects you and keeps you warm and dry even if it's throwing it down.

And finally the price is a huge literal selling point and is more than reasonable. You can compete with these on quality but you'll be paying through the nose if you do. On the flipside, you can complete with these on price but I'm not sure you could rely on anything else as much as these if you tried that.

The reason I've not left a full five star review as I've found a couple of things maybe I wished had been done a little differently, but they're honestly minor.

First, I wish these could come pre-fitted with armour. I understand not everyone likes it and it is a bit of a pain having to buy armour you're never going to use, but I think maybe a pre-fitted armour option might be better since armour isn't always in stock. But this didn't end up being much of a problem for me anyway as I have a pair of riding pants with some SAS-TEC protectors fitted that I just took out and fitted into these. So really no harm done!

Second, I'm really not a fan of the press stud fastener at the top of the fly. It's a bit flimsy and it often pops open without much strain at all. Because I wanted to be able to wear other pants underneath these, I bought them in a Size M which is actually slightly big for me and feels a little loose when I'm wearing these by themselves. Even then though, I still find the press stud pops almost every time I get on the bike with these on. Usually not much of an issue but if you're riding in the rain, I can say from experience it's not fun walking into work in the pants you had under these with a big wet stain around the crotch area! I understand why the press stud is there since it creates a seal, but I would probably go for a different closure system given the waist is usually under a jacket and also the aforementioned water issue (to be fair though, that's happened only once).

Apart from that issue, I'm totally satisfied with these and am a happy customer. If not for the press stud issue, these would be an absolutely perfect 5 stars out of 5 for me. But either way it's a well-deserved 4.5/5 in my opinion. Definitely will be visiting Akin Moto again in the future - hopefully those Trusty riding shirts are back in stock when the weather warms up again! Cheers guys.

Pants and jacket

I wanted to write a quick review of the Alpha jacket and pants. I purchased the pants first and got the jacket a couple of months later. Both pieces are fantastic. They look great and I’ve commuted with them down to 23F and been warm. The customer service is literally the best I’ve ever seen. The jacket I purchased was sold out and they found one at a retailer and sent it my way. For Americans I’d say the sizing is euro—get a size up from normal. I’m 6’1” and 200 and the XL fits great. 10/10 would buy these again.
