ARE YOU USING THESE WITH MX BOOTS?

If you are planning to wear these pants over the top of your motocross boots, please get in touch with us before ordering. We will double check to make sure that they will fit over your boots.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I GET?

The Alpha Motorcycle Pants have zero stretch in the waistband, so you’ll need to take this into account when ordering your size. Please email us if you're unsure what this means!

We recommend following these steps to ensure the perfect fit:

  • Grab a pair of pants you already own (preferably a pair with zero stretch), and that fit you well.
  • Lay them flat, making sure the zipper and button are done up and the waistband is perfectly aligned (see photo below)
  • Measure the waist as shown and write down your measurement

How to measure jeans

Now compare your measurement to the table below.

If you’re in-between sizes, or if you're unsure of your size, please EMAIL US at support@akinmoto.com, especially if you are an international customer. We are here to help and will do whatever we can to make sure you order the right size.

I am STILL looking for a waterproof adv. pants

Bought in Dec 2024. Size S.

The only thing I really love & like about this pants is the look. It does not look like an ADV. pants. Ever.

I think that is the only thing I can say about the positive.

Now the not so-positive :

Sizing is a bit big. I am a size S. I know different brand is different in sizing. Maybe an inch extra hence I need to use the size adjuster to tighten my pants hence it look & feel sort of uncomfy to me when wearing this pant.

Vents? What vents? Do I need to stand on my pegs?

Secret-pocket? What secret-pocket? It is super difficult to use, even to find the zipper AND use the zipper.

Waterproof? Nope. It leaked from day 1 riding in the rain. Where exactly? It will leak in the slightest of rain from the stretchable fabric. Not from my bum or directly from my crotch.

The main reason I bought this pant is the waterproof feature. I was hoping this will be my one & only riding pants. It got the looks. I owned the Alpinestar Andes v3 pants, it leaked. Revit Nitric H20 overpants, it leaked.

So I am still looking for a pants that don't leak that won't cost me my arm or leg.

Hi Jimmy,

We really appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback—it’s exactly what helps us continue improving our gear. We’re very sorry to hear the Alpha Pants didn’t deliver what you were hoping for, especially around the waterproofing. Your comments on fit, vents, and pocket usability are noted and will definitely be taken into account as we keep refining future designs.

Thanks again for giving them a go and for sharing your experience with us.

Great pants

Love these pants except they are so heavy, the heaviest pair I own. I like them except for the heaviness and the flared bottoms, I wish they were a bit narrower at the bottoms or had some sort of strapping system to be able to narrow them. Otherwise, the quality etc is fantastic.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your feedback Darren - we really appreciate it!

Creating a pair of protective riding pants that are also waterproof and thermally lined definitely comes with its challenges, especially when trying to keep the weight down. Striking that balance between protection, comfort and function is something we’re always working on improving.

The slightly flared bottoms are designed to accommodate bulkier ADV and MX boots, so if you’re running a more casual boot, we totally understand how they might feel a bit wide. A strapping system is a great suggestion though—we'll absolutely take that on board for future designs.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the quality overall, and we really appreciate your support!

Blown Away by the product and customer service!!!

Akin Moto has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! Grant was incredibly helpful, taking the time to answer all of my questions and going above and beyond what I expected. The product quality is outstanding—better than I could have hoped for. The gear is super comfortable while still feeling ultra protective, striking the perfect balance between safety and style. I can't wait to put them to the test! Highly recommend Akin Moto to anyone looking for top-tier motorcycle gear and exceptional service

Thanks for the thorough review and feedback Matthew! We're so stoked to have been able to help out here and that quality of the gear lived up to the name! Ride safe!

These arent bad

Got the pants as a gift, as I adore the jacket. My feelings towards the gloves lean heavily towards dissapointed though. As for the pants, I dont think I have anything new to report. The pants do flare a lot at the bottom, which fits over my Forma Adv boots nicely. They do not fit inside without a lot of bunching however. My only other real complaint is the fit, much like my main issue with the gloves. They advertise an XS as a 30ish" waist and a 32ish" inseam. I am a 30x30 in every pant. These run tight around the waist and are exceptionally long. Length is ok for riding, but if they didnt sit on my boots, I'd drag holes at the heels in a week just walking from the garage to my apartment. The tight waist is ok too, save the press stud that will come undone, or the way it rides them up. The riding up is especially bad as there is no extra crotch space at all. All that said though, they are water proof. Tested that out today in an hour of light rain. My only other minor gripe is the jean like pockets. For adv style pants, I think pockets on the top of the leg don't really make sense for riding, especially if they dont zip and are very tight while riding. Overall, these aren't bad. They are a tad pricey to have what I believe are design flaws, but are excellently made (as all Akin Moto gear seems to be) and preform what they advertise them to do. They will be my go to winter pants for sure

Hi Riley, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback! We really appreciate hearing about your experience with the pants, and it's great to know they're performing well in terms of waterproofing and fitting over your Forma ADV boots. Your insights on the fit, pocket placement, and design are incredibly valuable to us, and they help us continue to improve our products. We understand that the sizing and some design details didn't quite meet your expectations, but we’re grateful for your constructive comments. It's feedback like yours that allows us to make adjustments and refine our gear to better serve our customers. We're thrilled to hear the pants will be your go-to winter choice, and we’re confident they’ll continue to perform well for you. Thanks again for your thoughtful review – it truly helps us improve and provide the best possible gear.

Not first pick

Great service from the team. I’m a loose size 38 with nearly every other brand , but tight 2XL with these. They feel great , the bottom is over the top baggy and don’t look great tucked in or over boots. 70s flared look. I reach for other pants over these sadly , maybe one day they’ll grow on me for now , they’ll sit idle unfortunately. Sorry team.

Cheers for taking the time to provide such an honest review Jason! We're very sorry that the pants didn't hit the mark for you here, but your feedback is invaluable. We hear you about the over-sized nature of these pants (from the knee down). The reasoning behind this is to allow the Alpha Pants to fit over the the top of full-size MX/Enduro boots . With this function in mind, we do tend to agree that the Alpha Pants can look a bit baggy when worn over casual boots/sneakers (as this is not their intended purpose). Either way, I have just sent you an email to reach out and see if we can improve your experience here in any way.
