We couldn't find a motorcycle vest we liked, so we created our own... and then we made that one even better.
Introducing the SIXTH generation of the 'Battle' Vest.
Protection:
The Battle Vest now features a heavy Protective Maxtex® 1000 D outer shell - this strong polyester fabric is a heavier version (66% heavier!) of what we use for our 'Alpha Jacket'. It looks amazing and provides superior abrasion resistance over all our previous vests. Pair this with reinforced, triple-stitched seams, and you've got one very tough vest.
Need more protection? The Battle Vest is back armour compatible! We've designed the armour pocket to fit our Zeus Pro Ce Level 2 Back Protector.
Please note: Our Battle Vest sizes currently vary in terms of which Zeus Pro CE Level 2 Back Protector they require—either Regular or Large. Most sizes are compatible with the Large protector, but some still require Regular. If you're ordering a vest and a back protector together, we’ll make sure you receive the correct size to match the vest in your order. If you’re purchasing a back protector separately, or need one for a different Akin Moto jacket, please email us first to confirm which size you need.
Comfort:
We've developed a totally new fit with an integrated 'smart stretch panel' down the side seam. The two-way YKK® zipper has made a return, allowing you to adjust the fit to prevent the vest from 'riding up' when you're on the bike. Put simply, it's our best fitting vest ever.
There's a new quilted 170g insulated lining and fleece lined pockets to keep you comfortable on those colder days + a storm flap to prevent cold air from hitting your chest.
Your favourite features are still there too - like the water resistant internal pocket (which is perfect for keeping your valuables dry and safe) + our super comfortable ribbed collar for those long days on the bike.
This vest has 'smart stretch' side panels - If you like to wear your vest tight, please go down one size. Model in the photos is 6ft, 83kgs, 100cm chest and is wearing a size Medium.
The best way to find out your size is to measure a vest/jacket you already own, and that fits the way you want while on your bike (factoring in any garments you wish to layer underneath). Lay your vest/jacket flat on a table, and measure the chest, making sure to go from side seam to side seam (near the armpit like in the photo below). Compare your measurement to the size chart above. If you're in-between sizes, or want a nice snug fit, choose the smaller size.

Finally found a vest that suits a naked street bike modern look to go over my bike hoodie. The vest fits well as the size guide instructions say for snug fit. Looks to be well made and keeps the cold wind off my chest. Like it a lot thanks.

Used to have a leather vest which I liked but has nothing on this battle vest it’s so comfortable to ride in specially around the neck and keeps you warm and protected from the elements definitely would buy another

Fantastic product and service...The first vest turned up and the size was wrong this was no issue at all for Akin Moto they made the exchange easy and email contact was immediate...I would say the vest is small fitting so if your like me and like thing a little longer and loser I would order a couple of sizes up thanks Akin Moto pleasure to deal with you.
