I’ve been using Akin Moto gear for a while now.
I run the Grenade gloves for summer and everyday rides. They fit perfectly and feel great on the bike, but I’ve gone through two pairs because the tag keeps tearing the stitching. Small issue, but annoying when everything else about them is solid.
I picked up the Alpha gloves when I moved into a cooler climate. They’re warm and well made, but the fit is a bit off. The palm feels undersized and they’re a mission to get on. I’ve worn them almost every day since June and they’ve loosened up a bit, but still not ideal. Could just be an odd pair, but worth mentioning.
Good gear overall, just a couple of fit and durability issues from my experience.

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had with both the Grenade and Alpha gloves. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when small things like stitching or tags give trouble. Regarding the Alpha gloves, it’s good to hear they’ve loosened up a bit with use, but I’m sorry the fit hasn’t been perfect. They do tend to relax slightly over time, but for some riders we do recommend sizing up, which is reflected in our size guide.

I really like the fit/comfort, look and warmth of the alpha kit (Took a few rides to get break them in). The whole kit performed well in Kiwi winter, mostly riding in light rains and wind keeping me dry.
Come spring, rode remote trails in heavy rains and hail, half an hour in gloves were fully drenched, so were the alpha 4.0 jacket sleeves.

Great value for money, I bought the XL although need a Large once I return the XL’s I am sure I will be happy.

I love these, small enough to look like throw on gloves but warm enough to wear when cold, last time out it was 6 Degrees and they were perfect, no issues at all. I have worn them in slight ran and had no issues but I don't like riding in hard rain so I hope I never have to really test them
The only reason I am not giving this a 5 is because when i have 1 glove on i cant put my shirt under the other glove to stop the wind going up my shirt but that MAY be a me issue. Ill keep working on it
There are slightly stiff at first so make sure you ware them in before your first ride

Stoked to hear the gloves are keeping you warm—even down to 6 degrees! Sounds like they’re doing exactly what they were made for. Appreciate you pointing out the bit about getting your shirt sleeve sorted under the second glove—definitely one of those little quirks that can vary from rider to rider, but we get it. And yep, they do soften up nicely with a bit of wear, so good call on breaking them in before a big ride.
