Measure by laying your jacket flat on a table, and measure the chest, making sure to go from side seam to side seam (near the armpit like in the photo below). It's very important that you reach the seam join on each side, even if you have to bend a little around the sides of the jacket. Compare your measurement to the size chart above.

Mine has been in my top box for weeks. Out on Wednesday and it started raining while at the bakery and dark clouds the way we intended to go. Out came the anorak for the first time, sized it the same as my jacket. It went on easy and fit perfectly. No flapping around when riding. The rain lasted an hour, not too heavy, but I stayed dry. Then it was as easy to take off at our next stop. Impressed. The pouch at the front was great for the phone. I particularly liked the shaping on the cuffs, neat design.
Cheers for the incredible review Pricey! That's great to hear how the Anorak was there for you at the perfect moment and kept you dry with ease. Cheers again!
Well made, quality item. Looks great & fits well over my riding jacket. Looking forward to the rains now to give it a solid workout. Fantastic service from the team at Akin.
Thanks for the review Daren and we're stoked to hear how well the Anorak fits!
I used this jacket on a 10 day tour of the American Northwest, layered when needed on top of an Adventure Spec super shirt and various thermal layers depending on the weather. We encountered hot desert temperatures as well as windy, cold, rainy winter like conditions in the mountains of Wyoming and Montana. The jacket was perfect. Easy to pack, quick to put on, effective protection. The material of the sleeves was flapping on the open no speed limit roads of Montana, and I put on velcro straps to control the noise. Minor annoyance. This is a great light jacket for riders who prefer to wear their protection against the skin.
Hey L.J. thanks for taking the time to send through such a thorough review and for providing that feedback! That's awesome to hear how well it went across the various conditions of your 10 day tour.
Really love the look of the anorak, a stylish waterproof jacket that i can just take with me to throw over whatever gear im wearing. Feels very durable and well thought out, packs down to a decent size considering its a better material than cheap waterproof ponchos. Definitely good to carry in case of baad weather.
Thanks for the review and feedback Tristan! That's awesome to hear it ticks all those boxes for you!
Bought this as my top layer jacket for my Knox armour wasn't waterproof and wearing layers instead of a single heavy jacket is much more sensible to me.
Things I love about this jacket;
It's light! I was so surprised when the box came in the post, felt like there was nothing inside!
It fits perfectly, even with my Knox armour jacket and down thermal coat underneath the fit is snug but not tight and there's no unnecessary flapping around. The jacket definitely runs true to size.
The sleeves have been designed to properly fit inside a set of gauntlet gloves.
It packs inside itself!
It's definitely water proof, not tested in torrential rain just yet, but have had it out for some very wet sticky rain for extended periods and I've been bone dry underneath.
The colour is great and true to the photos & matches quite well with my mosko tank bag.
Things I don't love:
The hood could do with a way of rolling it up and tying down rather than just he popper to hold it down. It's a super minor gripe, but I think there's a better solution out there and certainly doesn't affect my rating or enjoyment of this jacket.
Hey Jack, cheers for the thorough review and also the incredible feedback! We really appreciate it!
