We’ve stuck with the classic Protective Maxtex® 600 D outer shell for superior abrasion resistance. For added protection, we’ve designed the jacket to be 100% compatible with body armour inserts for the back, shoulders and elbows (sold separately). NEED ARMOUR? Cold weather? We’ve improved the removable Thermoline® thermal liner, plus added built-in wrist gaiters to help block cold wind from entering your sleeves.

Warm weather? Zip-out that thermal lining and open the new SmartVentTM System (with a total of 5 zipper vents) for maximum air circulation, keeping you cooler.

With a total of 5 large pockets, you’ll have plenty of room to stash all your valuables on your next ride. We’ve added a magnetic keeper to the removable hood (to stop it flapping around), there’s a hidden key clip in the front pocket for your key/fob, reflective logos for extra visibility and premium YKK® zippers all round.

I was a little hesitant about ordering a motorcycle jacket online without being able to try it on first, but I needn’t have worried.

The communication from Grant was excellent from the outset, particularly when it came to sizing advice. His guidance was spot on, and the jacket arrived here in Western Australia within a week.

The quality really is second to none. There are so many great design touches - you can just tell it’s been designed by a motorbike enthusiast!! After more than 30 years of riding, I can honestly say it’s already the favourite motorcycle jacket I’ve owned.

The fit is great too. I’m 5’11” and 80kg, and the LARGE fits perfectly.

Based on both the quality of this jacket, the customer service, and as an Aussie owned company, I’ll definitely be looking at other Akin Moto products in the future !!

Unreal gear

So happy with my purchase, as a fairly new rider it’s pretty hit and miss for some brands in terms of matching aesthetic with comfort and protection, this kills it in all 3 categories, looks great, super comfy and all the protection needs covered. Not to mention amazing customer service. Support Aus businesses

Great jacket for Canberra

I got to use the jacket for the first time, it was around 12 degrees in Canberra and overcast. With a tee shirt and light pullover, the Alpha 4 (with liner) was very warm and comfortable. I can easily see this being warm at zero or below with appropriate thermals. Fit is good, and very comfortable.

One minor criticism, the snap 2nd from the top is not quite strong enough. With the top snap undone, when I turn my head the 2nd snap releases. This in no way a major issue, and with the top snap done up it holds firm.

Definitely going to be by daily jacket throughout late autumn, winter, and early spring.

I honestly can't recommend this jacket enough.
Being quite skinny, I've always had to wear 4/5 layers during winter rides just to stay warm, which can make riding uncomfortable. After a few emails back and forth with Grant to find the right size for my needs, we landed on the perfect fit.
Now I ride wearing this jacket on its own, even in cold conditions, and I genuinely can't feel any wind or chill coming through. I was absolutely blown away by how warm and comfortable it is.
The look is incredible too, photos don't do it justice. On my very first ride, multiple people commented on how sleek and premium it looked, and they were genuinely surprised when I told them it's AA-rated.
With the back protector and forearm armour installed (which you CANT feel is there), the jacket still remains incredibly comfortable. It's one of the few pieces of riding gear I've owned that I can happily wear off the bike without feeling bulky or uncomfortable, while still having the confidence of full protection.
I now own both the Stealth Jeans and the Alpha Jacket, and together they make an incredibly comfortable, stylish, and protective setup for anyone wanting a more casual look without compromising on safety.
A huge thank you to Max and Grant for creating such an amazing product and providing exceptional customer service. The combination of quality, comfort, protection, and support has completely exceeded my expectations.

Epic Jacket!!!!!

Was a bit hesitant buying online and not being able to try on first. Followed the instructions to figure out my size, pulled the trigger and ordered. Ordered on a Saturday and was delivered to Canberra on the Tuesday - Perfect size!. Jacket fits great, looks great and performs even better. With the Canberra morning temps dropping (hovering around 6 degrees at the moment) I have been layering up a bit (t shirt, flanny, spray jacket, summer bike jacket). So when the jacket arrived I was keen to get it on and test it out. Just a t shirt underneath this jacket and no worries at all. It’s only going to get colder here in Canberra but I’m not worried at all with this jacket. Heaps of good features and ventilation (if needed in warmer months). Reading all the great reviews really did help me decide to give this jacket a go. I’m so glad I got it, worth every cent and good supporting an Aussie company making quality products.
