Why don’t you sell the Vanguard Hoodie with armour included?
Our customers' safety is our top priority, but we recognise that not every rider desires armour. By offering the Vanguard Hoodie without armour, we ensure fair pricing for those who either prefer to ride without it or already possess their own set. This approach allows riders the flexibility to choose what works best for them.
Is this single-layer hoodie better than a traditional motorcycle hoodie with a Kevlar lining?
We believe the Vanguard Motorcycle Hoodie offers superior benefits. While it achieves CE ‘AA’ levels of abrasion resistance without a traditional Kevlar lining, it excels in comfort as well. The single-layer design reduces bulk, enhancing overall wearability and comfort for the rider.
What is the advantage of the 2-way zipper design?
The 2-way zipper allows riders to adjust the fit at the bottom of the hoodie, preventing bunching while riding. This feature enhances comfort and mobility, ensuring a better experience on the road.
Which back protector is compatible with the Vanguard Hoodie?
The Vanguard Hoodie is designed to accommodate our new Large Size Zeus Pro Back Protector. Please ensure you select the large size for optimal fit and protection.
The best way to find out your size is to measure a hoodie you already own, and that fits the way you want while on your bike (factoring in any garments you wish to layer underneath). Lay your hoodie flat on a table, and measure the chest, making sure to go from side seam to side seam (near the armpit like in the photo below). It's very important that you reach the seam join on each side, even if you have to bend a little around the sides of the jacket. Compare your measurement to the size chart above.

To be completely honest, once putting in the Zeus armour I bought with this hoodie I thought it would be similar in comfort to my textile jacket - a bit bulky, awkward and overall slightly uncomfortable. However, I was blown away by the fact that it felt just as comfortable as a normal hoodie, if not moreso - I’ll probably end up wearing it on the daily, even when not riding.
It’s also incredibly breathable which is such a nice change from my old jacket. It’s been fairly hot and muggy here recently, but you get some very nice airflow through this garment while riding at a bit of speed. It feels amazing.
