The Hypermesh Elite Pants are a true hybrid design, combining the airflow and mobility of in-the-boot motocross pants with the abrasion resistance required for road riding. Built for riders who transition from sealed roads to technical off-road terrain, these pants deliver protection without restricting movement. Whether you’re riding from home to local trails or tackling long-distance adventures that mix highway miles with demanding off-road sections, the Hypermesh Elite Pants are designed to move with you every step of the way.

Stretch Schoeller® Dynatec Micro-Mesh

Made in Switzerland, this advanced stretch mesh fabric delivers exceptional airflow, high abrasion resistance and unrestricted freedom of movement.

Engineered for the Slide

In lab tests using the Schopper method (grit 280 sandpaper under a 1 kg load), the fabric withstood over 3,000 revolutions, simulating prolonged scraping against rough surfaces. For motorcycle-specific protection, it meets EN 17092 AAA-class impact abrasion standards in Zone 2 (medium-risk areas like the outer thighs and shins), capable of enduring slides equivalent to approximately 70–100 km/h, helping to reduce road rash in these regions during a crash. While this provides strong protection for touring and everyday riding, higher-risk Zone 1 areas, such as the knees and hips, rely on our 'Zeus Pro' CE Level 2 armour (sold separately) for impact absorption.

Ultimate Dual-Sport Hot Weather Design

The entire pant is engineered as a vent, maximising airflow to keep you cool during slow, technical off-road riding and hot weather road sections.

In-the-Boot Fit with Adjustable Waistband

A motocross-inspired cut that fits clean inside the boot and allows maximum mobility, paired with an adjustable waistband for a secure, dialled fit. The legs are a bit longer than a standard MX pant, which allows you to run them with standard boots/sneakers if needed.

Dual Glove-Friendly Cargo Pockets

Practical, easy-access storage designed to be used with gloves on, on or off the bike.

Awesome piece of gear

Threw the hypermesh pants straight into the deep end: an hour on bitumen, six hours in bush, sand and gravel, then an hour back home.

I was happy with the fit immediately thanks to help with sizing from the Akin team. I'm 183cm, the wrong type of 93kg and the size M is a nice and slightly snug fit with plenty of stretch and when I'm moving around on and off the bike, plus a great in the boot fit for the lower leg.

It was a single digits morning and these obviously aren't winter pants, but I threw some merino thermals under them and while it was still a chilly ride out I stayed nice and cool once the day warmed up, even with the thermals still on. They really are one giant vent, I can't wait to wear them in warmer weather.

I kept my phone in my jacket so didn't actually use the pockets, but they were easy to operate with gloved hands and would fit most phones, wallets or similar easily. I didn't run any armour in them but appreciate the fact they can take armour and knee guards if wanted.

I'm glad I didn't have to test the abrasion rating but it's reassuring for me(and my wife) that I can wear some off-road pants on a ride that keep me cool, let me move, and can take a slide if needed.

My only criticisms are you need to do another production run so I can buy another pair and there needs to be a matching Hypermesh jacket to go with them!

Awesome pants, well constructed, smart features, the description of them being like a giant vent is bang on - great for hot days and riding around urban areas with limited windflow!

My only constructive criticism is the zip tabs for the pickets arent double sided (as in its smooth leather with the Akin branding, and then looks unfinished on the other) but other than that, great product!

Excellent warm/hot weather pants

I bought these pants to use in hot weather. The material is very small weave mesh, and the pants are both well designed and fabricated. Pockets only in front large enough for a phone. Fit and cut are really good for me. Length is good and I have worn/plan to use them with low boots as well. I have worn them in temperatures from 70F to 90F/21C to 32C and they worked well. At 90F/32C, my head was sweating in the helmet, but not my lower body. Highly recommended.
