REVIEW:
Constructed from premium goat leather, the ‘Blip’ glove is super soft, yet extremely durable and abrasion resistant. To provide the ultimate amount of flex, we’ve designed the entire top panel to conform the shape of your hand, no matter what position it’s in. The simple palm design allows the rider to ‘feel’ their motorcycle while the slim fit prevents the glove from bunching up. We’ve also stitched a conductive material into the thumb and index fingertips that allows you to use any touch device without having to remove your gloves.
This unique combination of premium materials and technical features results in one of the most comfortable and functional gloves you’ll ever own.

I've had the Blip Gloves for a year and a half and am very unhappy with them.
They certainly don’t fit like “second skin” as I’ve read and are a bit more on the bulky side, which is strange since I read so many wonderful things about the fit. I ordered the right size from the chart and believe they fit as intended.
With the grippiness of the leather on the palm and fingers, the gloves actually stick to my handle grips (and yes I've tried on other surfaces) making it very difficult to maneuver my hands while riding. On my first ride out, there were a few times when trying to reach my shift or brake levers, the gloves were so sticky it was difficult to grab them. In a couple instances it even made me loosen the throttle or I simply couldn’t reach the lever without letting go of the handle completely and readjusting.
I did about 700 miles over this past labor day and man were they painful. The ribbing along all the seams bites into my skin, particularly along the thumb lines where you grip, leaving red marks around my hand. I've gotten a little more accustomed with how to deal with them, but they're still painful and annoying.
I probably shouldn't still be using them as it can be a little unsafe, but they were pricey and shipping them back to Australia would cost as much as they gloves, so trying to get my money's worth. For context, I’ve been riding over 10 years with many different gloves. I will say Grant was very kind and offered to take them back and refund me but it would have cost me the same amount as the gloves to ship them back to Australia.
I really want to like the gloves but they're just not good.
Hi Anshul,
Thanks for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback - we’re genuinely sorry to hear that the Blip Gloves weren’t a good experience for you.
We understand how frustrating it is when a product doesn’t meet expectations, especially when safety and comfort on the bike are involved. While we don’t commonly receive feedback like this on the Blip Gloves, we take every customer concern seriously.
As discussed over email, we did our best to offer a return and refund as an exception, despite the gloves being used, however international return shipping costs made that option understandably difficult. We also explored alternative solutions to help minimise the impact for you.
While we were able to propose a potential resolution via email, we unfortunately didn’t receive a response to move things forward. We still appreciate you giving our gear a try and taking the time to share your experience. If you’d ever like to revisit things or need help choosing a product that better suits your preferences, myself and Grant is always happy to help.
Cheers,

I received a pair of these today and have gone for two rides with them. I have now ordered a second pair. They fit like a second skin whilst also being reassuring that they'll be there when you need them to be.
Hey J, thanks so much for sharing! We're stoked you've fit a few rides in with the Blip Gloves already! That's awesome to hear you've grabbed a second pair - nothing better than having a backup of something you know works well on the bike. Appreciate your support and happy riding!
Long story short .
If your in doubt , chat to the team or just buy it . Great build great fit and great value for money.
Hey Stolley! Cheers for the awesome feedback - love the “long story short” approach! Glad to hear you're stoked with the Blip gloves. Appreciate you shouting out the team too - we're always here to help if anyone's on the fence. Enjoy the ride!
I love these gloves! They’re very comfortable, and they look great. I like that they will operate my phone too so I don’t always have to remove them. Great job!
Thanks so much Adam! Stoked to hear you’re loving the gloves — comfort, good looks, and phone-friendly functionality is exactly what we were aiming for. Cheers again!
UPDATE: The Customer Service from the guys at Akin are second to none. After a short conversation with Grant, the reason for the seemingly common wear with these gloves at the time, came down to a batch using components that did not represent the quality known of Akin. The build quality has been improved to the standard I'm accustomed to from the guys.
I purchased the Blip motorcycle gloves at the end of July 2024. I initially loved them, however, after a couple of months usage, I saw significant wear on both index/thumb sections of the gloves. Virtually all the touch phone material wore away. The thumb on the left hand glove began to wear right through to the point I could no longer wear them. The stitching around the index fingers began coming undone also, from what I feel may be constant clutch and brake usage.
I have bought Akin gear in the past, and had nothing but good things to say. I feel these gloves are just a short misstep in an otherwise great motorcycle apparel brand.
Hey Dan,
Thanks so much for your honest feedback and for sticking with Akin. We're really sorry to hear the Blip gloves didn’t hold up like they should have — that’s definitely not the experience we want for you.
We’re reaching out to you directly to get this sorted. Whether it’s a replacement or another solution that works better for you, we’ll make it right and turn this around.
Appreciate you calling this out — your support and input mean a lot, and help us keep improving.
Cheers,
Grant
