My first purchase from Akin Moto was the Blackhawk Motorcycle Pants and I was very impressed with the quality, the style and the comfort. They are incredibly breathable too and I don't think I have had comfier riding pants.
The service offered by Grant was wonderful and very prompt and I recommend reaching out to them before buying to ensure the sizing is right.

Got these pants as a replacement for another Akin Jeans as i needed a looser fit. There isnt much to say apart for them being what they are - a pretty solid good pair of pants. They protect you where needed, they look awesome (even if they are a bit long, works for the look), and have deep pockets, which i love, as stuff like wallets and phone dont fly out. Another banger for Akin Moto.

Great to hear the Blackhawk pants gave you the extra room you were after without giving anything up in terms of protection or style. That looser fit and the deeper pockets are very deliberate choices, so it’s good to know they’re doing their job in the real world - especially keeping phones and wallets where they should be.
Also glad the length is working for you, even if it runs a touch long - We make our riding jeans and pants just that little bit longer to make sure there's plenty of ankle coverage in the rider position, where the cuffs can raise up.

Bought a size XS based on the sizing chart and my existing jeans, but they were way too small (and measure only 15.5 inches wide) Exchanged for the size S (incurring a $23 postage fee) and they fit perfectly (although measure 16.5 inches wide, which should be the measurement of the size XS). Was informed that the original size XS measure “within specs” so it’s apparently the way I measured the pants. Unfortunately can’t upload my photos as evidence. Anyway, the pants themselves are lovely and feel very comfortable. Keen to take them out for a ride.

I purchased the jeans just before the Christmas break 2025 and have worn them on every ride since.
The look and feel like normal straight leg jeans! I've also got the knee armour inside and you can barely tell.
Even on hot summer Perth days they are comfortable and feel great.
I've purchased quite a bit from Akin over the years and constantly recommend them to my mates and other riders.
