Crafted from our single-layer ‘PowerFleece’, a unique blend of soft fleece and genuine DuPont™ Kevlar® fibres, the Defender delivers casual comfort with CE ‘AA’-rated abrasion resistance. Tested to EN 17092-1:2020 standards, it offers a minimum slide distance of 31 metres at 75 km/h, giving you the confidence to ride without compromise.
While it looks and feels like a regular hoodie, this is purpose-built motorcycle gear. Pair it with our CE Level 2 Zeus Pro Armour (shoulders, elbows, back – sold separately) for enhanced impact protection and a setup ready for the open road.

This things pretty damn good, fits like every other jumper of the same size, thick but not too heavy, if I didn't have to take out the armour it'd be a good daily jumper aswell.

No surprise really, but this hoodie is a beaut. Comfortable AF, sizing was perfect using their chart and comparing to a favourite hoodie I already have. Nice to have that extra layer of protection with the kevlar. Heavier than I expected, and that's a good thing, you can feel the quality. The comfort liner feels great with just a t-shirt under. Another top notch item from Akin to add to the kit.
